The 12 Step Carpet Cleaning Process
Step 1: Pre-Inspection
We will do a walk through inspection with you to identify soiling conditions, individual stains, carpet construction and also discuss any concerns you may have.
Step 2: Commercial Pre-vacuum
Your carpet will be thoroughly vacuumed with a twin motor vacuum cleaner to remove dry soil. Removing dry soil is one of the most important steps in carpet cleaning.
Step 3: Furniture Moving
Sofas, chairs and tables will be carefully moved. Larger items of furniture are left in place. Electrical items, such as computers and TVs are not moved.
Step 4: Pre-Spot Treatment
Certain spots/stains are pre-treated to aid the cleaning process.
Step 5: Pre-Spray
We will hot pre-spray your carpet with the appropriate environmentally approved cleaning solution to break down any oily soils.
Step 6: Extract and Rinse
Once the soil has been loosened, our state-of-the-art extraction cleaning machine, using high vacuum, will thoroughly flush the carpet pile. Pressure and heat are generated to prevent the carpet from being over-wetted. Following cleaning, we can also use our high velocity air mover to help dry your chosen carpet faster if required.
Step 7: Neutraliser
Every carpet that we clean is pH balanced so there is no sticky residue left behind. This treatment is applied as a rinse through the machine or is applied after rinsing, depending on soil conditions and carpet fibre.
Step 8: Post-Spot Treatment
If any spots are not removed during the cleaning process, speciality spotting techniques are employed. Note: potential permanent stains, as identified by the technician, may not be able to be removed.
Step 9: Fabric Protection – Optional
Applying fabric protection will help guard your carpet from both dry and liquid soil. To keep your carpet looking at its best, we recommend applying fabric protection after each professional cleaning.
Step 10: Foil Tabs
We use protective foil/plastic tabs under furniture legs to avoid tannin stains.
Step 11: Post Grooming
Following the cleaning process, the carpet pile is set in one direction (using a carpet rake) to aid the drying process.
Step 12: Final Inspection
After the cleaning is completed, we will discuss everything with you to ensure you are entirely satisfied with the results. We will walk through your home with you to discuss the cleaning results and to make sure that you are completely satisfied with our work.
